Benign Disease
- A 28-year-old male patient is undergoing his first ever elective laparoscopic ileocolectomy to treat symptomatic fibrostenotic Crohn’s disease, which has not responded to biologics. During the exploration, he is found to have a 2-cm fibrostenotic stricture at the terminal ileum and a 15-cm segment of proximal jejunum with three distinct tight strictures (each 2 cm long) that are 3 cm apart from one another.
