Description

End ileostomy remains a safe and reliable options for patients with ulcerative colitis. However, despite ease of use, end ileostomy has a number of draw backs. Continent ileostomy may provide good alternative for patients not wanting end ileostomy who are not candidate for IPAA. Professors Kiran and Stocci debate pros and cons of these two approaches.
