Episode 2: Crohn's Stricture - Balloon Dilation vs Strictureplasty

Description

Despite significant improvements in medical management, a significant proportion of patients with small bowel Crohn’s disease still need surgery. Bowel preservation continues to be an important goal for surgical care for these patients. Stricturoplasty continues to be standard in patients with multifocal disease and multiple previous surgeries. Balloon dilation has been reported as a viable option for these patients as well. Watch Drs. Barnes and Dietz debate better approaches to these patients.
